Chi is a Certified Krav Maga Global (KMG) Instructor and Kickboxing Coaching Professional with over 20 years martial arts experience.


The key is holistic training - physical and mental fitness for development, academics, community contribution and within the workplace to help clients achieve their personal and professional goals with high quality bespoke training. 


He's trained under the experts Eyal Yanilov (Head of KMG), Tomasz Adamczyk (Head of United Krav Maga) and has worked extensively with The Institute of Krav Maga UK.

Having played rugby for 7 years, martial arts were 
the next step -  Thai Boxing and Jiu Jitsu. Krav Maga was the game-changer where new teaching and training techniques created a fresh outlook on real life self-defence applications and how to use the coaching to motivate, deal with stress and develop all round skills.

This led to teaching classes of all abilities, working in schools and universities, offices and teaching women’s groups etc. Chi has worked with olympic hopefuls and championship athletes, adding new elements when it comes to focus and drive.


As an Academic Mentor, the focus is on organisation, stress management, motivational training and work experience.  My past experiences working for major record labels, the Press Association and other creative companies, informs and guides students who gravitate toward digital or creative arenas.



Having liaised and worked with law enforcement and mental health professionals in the past, it was the untimely passing of a close friend that lent to the greater awareness campaign. Co-founding The Sides of March, a campaign raising awareness for male suicide, the momentum grew.


Working with CALM and contributing to Project 84 along with ITV the work eventually led to the appointment of a Minister for Suicide Prevention. The work continues. Small steps - training the body and the mind, promoting positive mental health awareness through activity and breaking stigmas in and out of the study or workplace.


What attracted me to Krav Maga are the levels of utility; from self-defence function, physical wellbeing, mental fitness and is a unique activity, that is based on natural stress responses and encourages you to be mindful.


At its essence it give you skills that are reality based to help you grow in confidence. This type of training promotes stress inoculation, lets you understand more about handling stress, calmness and decision making under pressure. Mental Resilience.

It's about developing a mindset that can be used across different areas of your life while de-stressing, staying fit and having fun!
